A You Tube video is getting credit for assisting Caledon OPP make an arrest in a March 31 break-in.
Police were sent to a home on Innis Lake Road, and during their investigation, they received multiple tips from the public as to the identity of the suspects, thanks to a You Tube video posted online of the surveillance footage. As a result, police were able to arrest and charge the males caught on camera.
A 34-year-old man from Caledon has been charged with possession of break-in instruments, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, three counts of possession property obtained by crime over $5,000, breaking and entering a dwelling and possession of a schedule II substance (cannabis marijuana) under 30 grams.
A 35-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with breaking and entering a dwelling, and failure to comply with recognizance.
The investigation is continuing, and police report additional charges are pending.
