Opening night proceeds got to Air Cadets Erin — Theatre presenting Ravenscroft

If you loved Erin Theatre’s production of Calendar Girls and Steel Magnolias, be sure to see Ravenscroft, opening April 9 at Centre 2000.
Ravenscroft is a dark comedy, full of mystery, intrigue and eccentricity. Set in a rural English estate in 1905, a handsome man has been found at the bottom of the stairs. Five female residents of different ages, stations and temperaments try and toy with the gallant Inspector Ruffing as he attempts to discover the truth.
Carol Beauchamp portrays the lusty, aristocratic lady of the manor with Erin’s own Paulina Grant playing her rather unusual teenage daughter. The character of Marcy, the aloof yet vigilant governess, is coolly captured by Laura Schnablegger. Carol McCone is deadly as the Mrs. Danveresque housekeeper and Paulina’s real mother, Denise Rowe, plays the simply flustered country girl maid. Into the midst of all of this is Chris Reid as Inspector Ruffing of Scotland Yard, caught in a web of intrigue.
Is this a game of cat and mouse, or something much more sinister?
Erin Theatre’s Artistic Director Kathryn DeLory once again has injected her own brilliant edge into the story, ensuring gasps and guffaws from the audience.
Although performances begin April 9, at 8 p.m., the official opening is April 10. All of the proceeds from Opening Night will be donated to the SSC 242 Erin Air Cadets, who will be ushering at many performances.

Evening performances are at 8 p.m. April 9, 10, 16, 17 and 18. Matinees are at 2 p.m. April 12 and 18, and at noon and 4 p.m. April 11.
