Newmarket Hurricanes remember past player

January 13, 2016   ·   0 Comments

The Newmarket Hurricanes Junior A Hockey Club will again be hosting their annual benefit hockey game, The Battle Of York, against the Aurora Tigers.
All proceeds raised from the game will go in support of Southlake Hospital Stronach Regional Cancer Centre.
To date, the event has raised more than $100,000 for the Cancer Centre.
The annual event was established eight years ago in memory of past popular player and past local New Tecumseth resident Kevin Lord (1986-2006) and also in memory of past player, K.J. Ramolla (1988-2008) and Josh Sedore (1994-2008), son of a previous assistant coach.
The game takes place Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex, 100 Eagle St. in Newmarket. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and students and $4 for children 10 and younger. Tickets are available in advance by calling 905-836-0511 or at the box office at game time.
Come out and enjoy a family fun evening of exciting hockey and also support a great cause.
