Motorcyclist charged with excessive speed

One man has been charged after Caledon OPP spotted two motorcycles going more than 200 km-h Sept. 26.
Police report officers were on stationary patrol on the northbound ramp from Mayfield Road to Highway 410 shortly before 3 a.m. when they spotted the two speeding bikes in the posted 90 km-h zone. The officers followed at a safe distance and saw one of the riders drive into a backyard to hide the bike.
The result was the 26-year-old Brampton man was charged with racing a motor vehicle, as well as driving without a permit and proper class of licence. In addition, he was charged with driving without insurance.
