The Bolton Braves Rep mosquito baseball team claimed the York Simcoe Baseball Association Division B championship for the 2013 season.
The Braves went to the final tournament after a solid season in a tough league that placed the pressure on the Bolton team to win two games to clinch the title.
Going up against their Aurora Jays rivals at the final tournament, held in Thornhill Aug. 11, they won their elimination game 7-5 before heading into the final game that same afternoon.
In the final the Braves came back from a 5-0 deficit in the early innings to take the game 11-6 and win the championship.
The team will now go on to battle it out in the Ontario Baseball Association’s tournament to be held in Chatham Labour Day weekend.
