Mississauga man charged with drinking and driving

A 29-year-old man from Mississauga is facing charges after a Caledon OPP officer detected alcohol on his breath Oct. 9.
Police report the officer noticed a vehicle parked behind a Bolton store at about 1:30 a.m. Considering the time, he went into the parking area to investigate, and saw the vehicle leaving. When the driver noticed he was being followed by police, he stopped and approached the cruiser. The officer noticed a strong smell of alcohol on the drivers breath.
He was arrested and charged with driving with more the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
The man’s licence was lifted on the spot and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
