It’s been a learning curve, but Caledon Councillor Rob Mezzapelli has been enthused with the experiences over the last four years and wants another term as area representative for Caledon’s Ward 5 (Bolton).
Mezzapelli, who’s completing his first term after narrowly winning election in 2010, said there’s still a lot of work to be done that he wants to be part of.
“I think I’m doing a good job,” he said, adding that since his election he has become exposed to various community and volunteer groups in the area, and experienced the passion they represent.
He agreed learning the job in his first term has been a “huge” learning curve, adding he was expecting it to be demanding going in.
“It has surpassed even that,’ he said, but added “it has been extremely enjoyable.”
Mezzapelli was talking confidently about his chances of re-election.
“I think I stand a very good chance,” he said. “I feel I’ve been very present and engaged in the community.”
