Albion Hills Conservation Area was a very busy place over the weekend as the crowds were out for the annual Mud Hero activities. This year’s event, which ran both Saturday and Sunday, was held in support of Special Olympics Canada.

These Mud Heroes got off to a quick start Sunday as they headed out to brave the obstacle course.

There were plenty of younger folks making their way through the large mud puddles in their efforts to be Mud Heroes.

Kimberley Kelley from Oshawa and Leanna Hennessey of Toronto were among the last people to make their way through the muddy track.

Not all the obstacles were mud, as participants had to get themselves over other types of barriers.
