A 32-year-old man from Barrie is facing charges after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 10 July 20.
Caledon OPP reports they were called out at about 8:30 p.m. to a location at the Grange Sideroad to deal with the incident. The investigation revealed that a grey Chevrolet was following a grey Toyota southbound on Highway 10. For an unknown reason, the Toyota stopped abruptly, causing the collision.
After determining that the injuries were minor, the officers approached the driver of the Chevrolet and immediately detected an odour of alcohol on his breath. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
His licence was suspended on the spot, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
