A 26-year-old Caledon man is facing charges after police conducted a crime abatement check in Brampton April 1.
Caledon OPP reports they were doing the check on a man who was bound by conditions to live with a relation in Brampton. Officers had gone to the Brampton address and had learned he wasn’t there. He was contacted by phone, according to police, and stated he was on his way home from work.
Police said officers had information that the man had not been living in Brampton, but had actually taken residence in Caledon. They observed a Caledon residence and saw the man leave there, heading to Brampton. Officers conducted a vehicle stop and the male was arrested.
The man was arrested and charged with breach of recognizance, breach of probation and driving while under suspension.
