A 50-year-old man from Brampton is facing charges after he was arrested May 29 at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) spot check.
Caledon OPP reports the detachment’s Community Response Unit (CRU) wasw running the check in the area of St. Andrew’s Road and The Grange Sideroad shortly before 4 p.m. when officers stopped a Dodge Ram pick-up and immediately detected alcohol on the driver’s breath. He was given the roadside screening breath test, which registered a fail.
The man was charged with driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system. His licence was suspended on the spot and his truck was impounded for seven days.
