There was a large crowd out recently for the Gala in support of Peace Ranch, the 25-acre farm in Albion that is a community-based agency offering full-time supportive housing and rehabilitation programs for up to 10 people living with mental illness and who reside in the area. Music for the evening was provided by the Adam Saunders Jazz Band and young clarinetist Sean Derraugh. The band members included Adam Saunders on keyboards, Al Cox on trumpet, Jamie Aug on drums, Scott Toll on clarinet, Jack McFadden on bass and Peter Turner on trombone.
Artist Mark Grice, who paints out of his studio at Alton Mill, was working on this acrylic creation which depicted a scene from the Credit River.
