LOTS OF EQUIPMENT HEADING NORTH

January 4, 2018   ·   0 Comments

Palgrave Rotarians have again joined forces this year with Rotarians in Etobicoke to collect gently used hockey equipment to send to First Nations young people in remote northern Ontario communities. They once again filled the ground floor of a Palgrave area barn, with the plan to have it shipped to a location in Mississauga for sorting before sending it north to Attawapiskat, Webequie and Rankin Inlet. The equipment will be accompanied by a supply of Drench It, which was invented by Caledon resident Candace Bell and gets rid of the smells of hockey equipment. Seen here with the accumulated equipment is (back) Rotarian Andrew Saarimuki with his daughters Hannah and Megan, Bronwyn Morgan, (front) Etobicoke Rotarian Gerald Lue, and Rotarians Susan Hicks, Bernie Rochon, Ann McRuvie and Andrew Morgan.
