Local golfers get set to swing this spring ‘fore’ Brampton hospitals

William Osler Health System Foundation has joined forces with Brampton Mayor Linda Jeffrey to create the ultimate day on the green in support of the redevelopment of the new Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness and the next generation of diagnostic equipment and technology for Brampton Civic Hospital.
With the tournament just weeks away, golfers are being asked to lace up their spikes and join Osler Foundation at the Osler Open: Brampton Invitational June 8 at the Lionhead Golf Club at 8525 Mississauga Rd., Brampton. Last year’s event raised more than $162,000 for redevelopment projects at Brampton Civic and Peel Memorial, now under construction.
“This tournament provides an exciting opportunity for participants to make a meaningful impact on the future of health care in this community,” said Robert Lewis, the tournament’s chair and a member of Osler Foundation’s Board of Directors. “The involvement and support of local businesses and organizations is integral to the success of this tournament.”
All funds raised through this year’s tournament will be matched, dollar for dollar, thanks to the $15 Million Matching Challenge, made possible through the generosity of Orlando Corporation.
