Library hosting adult writing workshop

January 16, 2014   ·   0 Comments

Calling all aspiring writers and authors!
Caledon Public Library will be hosting a special all-day adult writing workshop, featuring Brian Henry, book editor and creative-writing instructor.
It will be this coming Saturday (Jan. 18) at the Albion-Bolton branch.
Henry has been a book editor, writer and creative writing instructor for more than 25 years. He teaches creative writing at Ryerson University, and also leads weekly creative writing courses in Mississauga, Oakville and Burlington, as well as conducting Saturday writing workshops throughout Ontario. His proudest boast is that he has helped many of his students get published.
He will be speaking about writing for children and young adults at this workshop.
Whether you want to write the next best-selling children’s books or just want to create stories for your own kids, this is the workshop for you.
Bring a sample of your writing (up to 1,000 words) and get critiqued on the spot. If you’re not currently working on a children’s story, don’t worry. The workshop will help get you started.
Advance registration is required at any Caledon Public Library branch or by contacting Henry directly at [email protected]
This is an all day workshop (from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Registrants are advised to bring a lunch.
The cost is $45 per registrant (cheques made payable to Brian Henry).
