Lengthy police investigation leads to multiple charges

Three Brampton residents are facing charges after a Caledon OPP investigation into an incident at a Bolton establishment.
Police report the incident took place Dec. 31, at about 4:40 p.m. Three suspects entered the establishment, and two men distracted the victim, a 24 year old female employee who was attending to the desk while the female suspect was observed on video surveillance entering the employee’s office. Later, the female suspect departed from the office with the victim’s purse which contained multiple personal belongings and valuables such as identification, cash, a debit card and a pay cheque from her employer.
This resulted in a lengthy investigation, which ended with a 28-year-old woman being charged with fraud under $5,000, two counts of theft over $5,000 and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
One of the men is 34, and he was charged with theft over $5,000, fraud under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order.
The other man, 29, was charged with theft over $5,000 and fraud under $5,000.
