Belfountain was a pretty busy place recently for the annual Belfountain Salamander Festival. Pat Kelly of the Izaak Walton Fly Fishing Club was offering fly-tying tips to those at the Festival.

Of course there were salamanders at the Belfountain Salamander Festival. Will Winters, 5, from the Belfountain area, did seem a little reluctant to hold this Jefferson salamander, but he did.
Melyssa Kerr, formerly of Belfountain, was providing some of the musical entertainment.
What would a festival be without face painting. Volunteer Shannon Mustard of Cheltenham was working on this creation for Sierra Post, 4, of Brampton.
There will always be interesting food at the Belfountain Salamander Festival, including squash soup, which Emma MacLennan-Nourega was serving in hollowed-out pumpkin bowls.
There were some interesting animals at the Salamander Festival, thanks to Creature Quest, based in Hillsburgh. Duane Bailey was taking care of Chaos, a five-month-old red fox.
