Attendees at the recent cheque presentation were Jim Boyd, president and CEO, Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation; John Cutruzzola, chairman of Inzola Construction and Peel Memorial Campaign Cabinet member; and Ken Mayhew, president and CEO, William Osler Health System Foundation.

John Cutruzzola, Inzola Group and the Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation showed their support for Osler hospitals recently when they presented Osler Foundation with a donation of $20,208.
This donation represents the proceeds of John Cutruzzola’s Christmas in Rome Concert and Art Show, held last December at the Rose Theatre. The event, organized by Inzola Group and its leader John Cutruzzola, offered an evening of classical music, art exhibits and silent auctions with all proceeds benefitting the redevelopment of the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness. Cutruzzola, who is an arts and culture enthusiast, also showcased some of his latest paintings at the December event and gave an inspired performance as a tenor.
“This is an exciting time for Brampton with the building of the new Peel Memorial,” said Cutruzzola. “It’s important for all of us in the community to invest in our new hospital. I encourage everyone to get involved so that we can bring leading-edge healthcare to this area. I want to be a part of that.”
All funds raised were directed to the Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation in Trust for the new Peel Memorial. Cutruzzola and his business partner Bill Kannellopoulos were among the first donors to its redevelopment campaign in 2010 with their pledge commitment of $250,000. Having completed the original pledge last year, the additional funds raised through the Christmas in Rome concert will have double the impact for the new Peel Memorial, as it will be matched, dollar for dollar, thanks to the $15 Million Matching Challenge, made possible through Orlando Corporation.
Supporters and committee members including Jim Boyd (President and CEO of the Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation) and John Cutruzzola (Inzola Group) were on hand to present the latest donation to Osler Foundation.
“On behalf of Osler, we thank John Cutruzzola and the Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation for being great champions of local health,” said Ken Mayhew, president and CEO of the William Osler Health System Foundation. “We are grateful for John Cutruzzola’s leadership in support of the new Peel Memorial. His commitment truly reflects the passion of this community for health care and continues to inspire others to follow in his fundraising footsteps.”
