Introducing First Friday events at PAMA

April 3, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Looking for a fun and unique way to kick-off the weekend?
Join the Friends of Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) for their exciting social event held the first Friday of every month from 6:30 to 10 p.m. For $5, guests get an insider’s view of the local arts and culture scene while enjoying live music in a social atmosphere. First Fridays, geared to those aged 19 and older, will feature unique performances, a cash bar and the opportunity to engage with local artists while getting to know others in the community.
The first such event is planned for tomorrow night (April 5). It will feature landscape artist Mark Grice, who will paint an original piece live on-site to be auctioned off at the end of the night.
“PAMA is providing a space for guests to engage in dynamic conversations while learning more about their community,” said PAMA Board Member Charles Scott. “First Fridays cater to those looking for a unique night out with friends and colleagues on a Friday night. It’s an exciting way to start the weekend.”
Each First Friday event at PAMA will incorporate an entertaining theme. Guests might find themselves transported to the 1960s during the Mad Men era or whisked away to soak in the culture, history and tastes of Spain.
All proceeds raised from First Friday events will go toward the Friends of PAMA Educational Endowment Fund, created to provide support for educational programs at PAMA.
