Caledon OPP is crediting a citizen for alerting them about an erratic driver in Palgrave July 17.
Police said they were informed of the matter shortly after 3 p.m. The driver was spotted in the area of Herriot Street and Patterson Sideroad. Police found the vehicle and confirmed it was being driven erratically. When they stopped it, they quickly detected a strong trace of alcohol on the driver’s breath.
A 60-year-old Caledon woman was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in her system. Her licence was suspended on the spot and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
