A tip to police from a citizen early Saturday morning led to a 65-year-old Brampton man being charged.
Caledon OPP reports the citizen made the call at about 1:35 a.m. regarding an erratic driver in the area of Airport Road and Healey Road. Officers were able to find the vehicle and once they stopped it and started talking to the driver they detected a strong smell of alcohol on his breath. With the assistance of the officers, the driver got out of the vehicle and they observed that he was unsteady on his feet. As a result, he was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system, driving while disqualified and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
