Humberview introduces curling team

January 21, 2015   ·   0 Comments

The Humberview Huskies new bantam boys curling team had a very successful start to their season.
The guys swept all three games of the St. Roch bonspiel for new school teams to take first place. And they decisively won both of their ROPSSAA games before the winter break.
This is the first year that Humberview has introduced curling to their ROPSSAA schedule and they are hoping to develop more teams next year. This newest Husky team consists of skip William Gates-Crease, vice Chris Dywanski, second Mike Triglav, lead Ryan Antiochos and alternate Jonathan Quintal. Although they are a young first year team, they are curling in the competitive senior open boys’ division and holding their own.
Humberview staff advisor, Ms. Quintal, and their OCA competition coach, Skid Crease, have been very pleased with the boys’ dedication to practice and team building. Every Wednesday, they practice for two hours at Chinguacousy Curling Club, along with their daily Long Term Athletic Development training.

Chris Dywanski, Mike Triglav, William Gates-Crease, Ryan Antiochos, Jonathan Quintal make up the Humberview Huskies new bantam boys curling team.
