Harvest Gallery opens at Mill

A large crowd was out at Alton Mill Friday night for the opening reception of the Harvest Gallery to feature the works of the best emerging and established artists of the Headwaters Region. Music for the evening was provided by Larry Kurtz of Orangeville, Sam Carothers of Aurora and James Legere of Toronto. John Ashbourne, who chaired the committee involved in the gallery, praised the work of those who served on the committee with him, and appealed other volunteers to step up on serve. “I think we’ve got a wonderful gallery here in an amazing building,” he said.
