Great weekend for all at Brampton Fall Fair

This three-year-old female bald eagle wasn’t alone in having a high time over the weekend. Crowds had lots of fun at Brampton Fall Fair. This bird was being shown by Sam Trentadue of Ontario Falconry Centre.

It was a great weekend for the sights, sounds and fun of the 160th Brampton Fall Fair, held at the Brampton Fairgrounds in Caledon. The fun included a garden tractor pull Friday night. Cale Holmes, 11, of Schomberg did a full pull with this effort.
There was lots of livestock being shown at the Fair. Peter Christie of Terra Cotta showed Chrisland B Miss Personality in the Holstein Cattle Show Friday night. She was named Top Yearling in the show. The presentation was made by sponsors Jim Armstrong of Monteith Holsteins and James Johnston.
The were plenty of hand-on experiences at the Fair. They included this model for people to practise their milking skills. Phil Lankhof of Orangeville was showing his sons Avery and Nolan how it’s done.
Bolton area resident Nicole French showed this Holstein owned by Roy Westlake. Elegant, a senior yearling, was named best bred and owned senior yearling. They are seen here with class sponsor Jim Armstrong of Monteith Holsteins.
Josh Groves and his daughter Felicity, 2, from Brantford were busy showing sheep.
The main stage was a busy place all weekend with a wide variety of entertainment. It included a performance Saturday by the River Road Cloggers.
The Britannia School House wad a display of some great toys from the past, and Carson Aikins, 2 of Brampton found some of them were lots of fun.
The Rabbit Show attracted lots of attention Sunday. Mercedes Goldberger, 8, of Mississauga was cuddling her English spot Buck Tom, who was named Best of Breed.
Jimbo the Magician was also emceeing a lot of the activities.
Terry O’Brien had people enthralled with his Elvis tribute.
