The Terry Fox Run returned to Palgrave last weekend.
Just before 9 a.m. on September 15, Palgrave residents gathered at Norma Bangay Park for the Palgrave Terry Fox Run. Together, the Palgrave community raised over $13,000 for cancer research ahead of the run.
Palgrave Rotary volunteers provided breakfast for the runners and walkers, who at 9 a.m., departed for a 1, 2, 5, or 10-kilometre journey along the Caledon Trailway.
Shirley Horsley, a volunteer that helped organize the run, said Palgrave is a very close-knit community and she’s proud of how the community rallied to support the run — around 150 people came out for it.
