GETTING RID OF OLD BINS AND BOXES

Saturday provided an opportunity for people to drop off their blue boxes, green bins and other garbage containers. Peel Region was hosting a drop-off session at Caledon Community Complex. Gavin Tyler, a bylaw officer in waste collection with the Region was helping people unload their bins. Other drop-offs will be available July 23 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lakeview Water Treatment Facility at 920 East Ave., Mississauga and the Peel Public Works Yard at 2 Copper Rd., Brampton; Aug. 6 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Iceland Arena at 705 Matheson Blvd. East, Mississauga; and Aug. 13 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Peel Curing Facility at 4400 King St. (near Dixie Road), Caledon.
