Frost needs to go before tracks are fixed

April 4, 2014   ·   0 Comments

Motorists heading west on King Street out of Bolton have probably noticed a problem at the CPR tracks; a bumpy problem.
Councillor Patti Foley said she’s been in touch with Peel Regional staff, and she’s been informed the problem will be addressed, in cooperation with staff from Canadian Pacific. But she’s also been told that can’t happen until the winter frost has left the ground.
She made the comments after Tuesday’s council meeting.
Councillor Nick deBoer had brought the issue up, wondering what could be done. He said the situation seems to be getting worse.
Westbound drivers crossing the tracks have been doing it a lot slower than usual over the last couple of weeks.
