Fire department has a chaplain

September 25, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Caledon Fire and Emergency Services will be having the services of Pastor Jeff Enns as chaplain.
The pastor at Bolton Alliance Church was introduced as chaplain to Caledon council Tuesday by Fire Chief Terry Irwin. He said Enns will be playing an important role in supporting both firefighters and victims in emergencies.
Enns told councillors he was approached to take on the post. “My first response was it’s an extreme honour,” he said.
“We’re thrilled that the fire chief has come forward with this position and that he’s asked you to do it,” Mayor Marolyn Morrison commented.
Both Councillors Patti Foley and Rob Mezzapelli praised the work Enns has done in the community, particularly with the Bolton Business Improvement Area (BIA).
“I don’t think you could have made a better selection than Jeff,” Mezzapelli said.
