It’s that time of year again, to check out locally-grown produce at the Farmers’ Markets in the community. Last Saturday (June 8) saw the opening of the Caledon Farmers’ Market at the Albion-Bolton Fairgrounds. Councillor Patti Foley, representing Mayor Marolyn Morrison, welcomed shoppers, accompanied by Councillor Richard Whitehead, Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones, Councillors Rob Mezzapelli and Allan Thompson, Dufferin-Caledon MP David Tilson and Caledon Town Crier Andrew Welch. The Inglewood Farmers’ Market opened for another year on the east side of McLaughlin Road in the hamlet last Wednesday. Owen Goltz, of Riverdale Farms in Inglewood, was interesting Brampton resident Cathy Harmsworth in some white turnips.
