We hear a lot about inclusiveness these days.
While there are many groups and individuals who call for it (and rightly too), there are others who would prefer not to be any part of it.
Inclusiveness is important, and we’re happy that the Town of Caledon is now flying the Rainbow Flag at the municipal offices in Caledon East.
That flag is more than just a symbol of a particular lifestyle. It’s a sign of acceptance of everyone. That’s something we should all keep in mind, although too many of us, alas, do not.
This is the first time the flag has flown at Town Hall. Why that has been the case is not important any more. It’s flying there now, and that benefits everyone in the community.
We hope it gives people cause to think about inclusivity, because there are some among us who really need to consider it.
