Driver wouldn’t give sample

A 37-year-old man from Mono is facing charges after he was stopped by Caledon OPP late Friday night.
Police report they were informed by a citizen that a car was being driven erratically at about 11:50 p.m. on Regional Road 50, near Castlederg Sideroad. Police were able to find the vehicle on Highway 9 and stopped it. As they approached the vehicle, officers noticed a strong smell of alcohol on the driver’s breath.
Police said he refused to provide a breath sample when asked.
The man was charged with failing to provide a breath sample. His licence was suspended on the spot and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
