A 37-year-old Caledon man was charged with having more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system Sept. 29 after Caledon OPP officers became suspicious of a car in Bolton.
Police said a white Toyota Matrix was seen leaving a parking lot and heading north on Queen Street at high speed. They pulled the car over and immediately noticed the smell of alcohol on the driver’s breath, so they demanded a breath sample. He failed the roadside test and was taken to the station for further testing.
The man’s licence was suspended on the spot, and his car was impounded for seven days.
