Mayfield Secondary School

This 17-year-old is an inside centre and flanker on the senior boys’ rugby team which won its first two games of the season. “We have good hopes for the rest of the season, if there isn’t a strike,” he said. He was also fullback on the senior football team that made it to the semifinals. Away from school, he’s hoping to play rep rugby in North Halton this year. The Grade 11 student lives in Brampton with his mother Jacquie.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
Chloe Hill
This 17-year-old is a singles badminton player who made it of ROPSSAA. She was also a running back for the flag football team that also made it to ROPSSAA. As well, she’s planning to go out for track and field, in triple and long jump. In the community, she plays house league in the Caledon Soccer Club. The Grade 12 student lives in Bolton with her parents Juliet and Tom Hill.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School
Carla Briscoe
The Grade 12 student might be a girl, but she’s playing on the varsity boys’ soccer team. “They’re fine with it,” she said. “I keep up.” She plays defence on the team which won its first two games. She also played centre on the varsity girls’ hockey team, which made it to the quarter-finals after going undefeated in the regular season. In the community, she plays soccer with the Toronto Lynx Academy. The 18-year-old lives in Caledon East with her parents Wade and Mary Briscoe.
Humberview Secondary School
Jordan Eljabri
This Grade 12 student plays starting wing for the senior boys’ rugby team, which went 3-1 in a recent tournament. He was also a running back on the varsity football team in the fall. Away from school, he plays running back in the TNT football organization. He used to box and alpine ski. The 18-year-old lives in Bolton with his parents Bashar and Shelley Eijabri.
