Mayfield Secondary School
Carter Moffatt
The 15-year-old is a striker on the junior boys’ soccer team, and he contributed four goals in the first two games, getting his mates off to a 1-1 record. He also played middle for the junior volleyball team, that made it to the playoffs. In the community, he plays rep soccer for the Caledon Soccer club. The Grade 10 student lives in Alton with his parents Rhonda and Floyd Moffatt.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School
Isaac Maxwell
This Grade 11 student showed his skill playing middle on the varsity volleyball team. He also played defence on the varsity hockey team that finished second at OFSAA, and is a singles badminton player. In the fall, he was captain of the school’s golf team, and was fourth individually at ROPSSAA, missing a trip to OFSAA by just two strokes. Away from school, he’s a member of the Golf Association of Ontario and referees hockey. The 16-year-old lives in Mono with his parents Alex and Tony Maxwell.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
Britney Gordon
The 15-year-old is a defender on the school’s junior girls’ soccer team, which went undefeated over its first five games. She’s also active playing soccer away from school, waiting to play U16 in the Bolton Wanderers’ Soccer Club, which she has done for five years. The Grade 10 student lives in Bolton with her parents Jessie and Shane Gordon.
Colin Yeager
This Grade 10 student has been finding his badminton groove as a singles player. This is his second year of competition, and he won his first match April 24. The 15-year-old lives in Bolton with his parents Debra and Doug Yeager.
