Mayfield Secondary School
Hunter Barnett
This 14-year-old showed her prowess on the left wing for the varsity girls’ hockey team, which made it to OFSAA after finishing second at ROPSSAA. She’s hoping to try out for the school’s outdoor lacrosse team. In the community, she plays rep hockey for the North Halton Twisters and she used to play lacrosse in the summer. The Grade 9 student lives in Caledon village with her parents Wendy Sims and Brett Barnett.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School
Brooke Sullivan
This Grade 9 student is getting ready to make her contribution to the junior girls’ indoor soccer team. She plays forward and the team is in training for the coming campaign. She also played power on the varsity volleyball team at school. Away from school, she plays with the Orangeville Soccer Club. The 14-year-old lives in Orangeville with her parents Shelley and Andrew Sullivan.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
Vince Lauder
This 15-year-old contributed his services as a shooting guard for the junior boys’ basket ball team, which were able to make it to the playoffs. He used to play in the Caledon Cougars’ organization, as well as house league soccer in Etobicoke. The Grade 10 student lives in Bolton with his parents Jennifer and Valentino Colosimo.
Humberview Secondary School
Lia Chan
This Grade 9 student is already making a difference with the junior girls’ rugby team. She plays scrum half, and they posted a 30-0 win in their first match. She also played power on the junior girls volleyball team and was a defender on the flag football team. in the community, she’s in training to play catcher on a rep softball team in the Brampton Blazers’ organization. The 14-year-old lives in Bolton with her parents Wendy Jenkins and William Chen.
