Mayfield Secondary School
Shannon Mustard
The 17-year-old has been making her contribution on defence for the varsity girls’ hockey team, which started the season with a 1-1-1 record. She also notched a goal for the cause. She’s planning to go out for the rowing team in the spring. Away from school, she plays BB hockey in the Caledon Coyotes organization, as well as with the Brampton Soccer Club. The Grade 11 student lives in Cheltenham with her parents Lisa and Andrew Mustard.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School
Kayla Godin
This Grade 10 student is a forward for the varsity girls’ hockey team, and she’s had a goal to her credit early in the campaign. She is also a member of the Team Unbreakable running club at school. In the community, she plays hockey with the Orangeville Tigers organization. The 15-year-old lives in the Caledon village area with her parents Barb and Dan Godin.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
Anthony Marino
This 17-year-old is a point guard and shooting guard for the senior boys’ basketball team. He was also a member of last year’s OFSAA champion soccer team, and he’s planning to go out for the squad this year, playing centre mid. In the community, he plays soccer for the Woodbridge Strikers. The Grade 12 student lives in Bolton with his parents Linda and Joey Martino.
Humberview Secondary School
Shonnah Stephen
This Grade 11 student plays middle for the senior girls’ volleyball team. The squad started the new year with a win over Robert F. Hall. She also played outside left on the varsity field hockey team in the fall. Away from school, she plays defence for the Clearview Icecaps in midget A hockey in Alliston. The 17-year-old lives in Bolton with her parents Darlene and Craig Stephen.
