Mayfield Secondary School
Katya Dondi
This Grade 10 student played point guard on the school’s senior basketball team, and she is waiting to represent the school on the nordic ski slopes, once the snow arrives. She said they have been practising on roller skis. She also planning to play rugby in the spring. Away from school, she plays rep basketball in the Brampton Warriors organization. The 15-year-old lives in Valleywood.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School

The 16-year-old played tight end for the varsity football squad, which made it to the semifinals of ROPSSAA. In that semifinal match, he caught a pass and ran it 35 yards to the two yard line, setting up a touchdown. That play was cited as the Catch of the Year. Away from school, he plays varsity football in the Orangeville Outlaws organization. The Grade 11 student lives in Orangeville.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
Diquan Taylor
This Grade 11 student has been showing his prowess as a point guard on the varsity basketball team, which has opened the season with a 1-1 record. He was a running back on the junior football team last year, but didn’t play this year. Away from school, he plays basketball in the Run and Down Academy in Toronto, and plays football with the Metro Wildcats in Toronto. The 16-year-old lives in Bolton.
Humberview Secondary School
Danielle Berno
The 16-year-old has been making her mark in wrestling, specializing in the 61-kilo class. She won gold at one tournament this year, and second in another. This is her second year in the sport. Last year, she made it to OFSAA. She’s planning to play rugby in the spring and played tennis at school last year. In the community, she’s a house league forward in the Orangeville Tigers’ organization. She also plays in the Caledon Soccer Club the Grade 11 student lives in Bolton.
