A Toronto man was charged after he ditched his vehicle on Highway 10.
Caledon OPP report that on Aug. 7, shortly before 2 a.m., a citizen contacted the Caledon OPP to report a single motor vehicle collision. The citizen reported that the driver of a white Chevrolet was travelling southbound on Highway 10 when it veered off the roadway and landed in the ditch facing southbound.  The driver of the vehicle then exited and began walking southbound on Highway 10 towards Charleston Sideroad.
When officers attended the area, they were unable to locate the driver and out of concern for the driver’s safety, a K9 track and search was commenced by Central Region Emergency Response Team.
At approximately 4 a.m., the track was successful and the male was located outside a residence on Charleston Sideroad.
The 28-year-old from Toronto was arrested and charged with Fail to Stop at Scene of Collision.
He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on Sept. 11.
