Krystina De Rose believes a younger voice is needed on the Dufferin-Peel District Catholic School Board.
The Bolton resident has announced she will be seeking to represent Caledon and Dufferin County on the board after the October municipal elections.
This will be her first venture into the political arena, but she has been close to the action. She works at Queen’s park as a legislative assistant to Simcoe North MPP Garfield Dunlop.
“I figured I’d want to be involved in Dufferin-Caledon, and I figured this would be a great way to d that,” she said.
De Rose added she believes that as a trustee, she can bring a younger perspective to the board table. She added Catholic education is changing, and the board needs to follow that evolution.
De Rose was talking confidently about her chances of election.
“I think they’re good,” she said. “I’m going to work hard. I’m no stranger to hard work.”
