The sixth annual Cuisine-Art festival will be taking place at Alton Mill this weekend (July 12 and 13).
Take in beautiful food and delicious art with Alton Mill Artists, 20 local chefs, beer, wine and cider masters and the vendors of the Good Things Marketplace.
Sample the region’s best food and cool drinks at tasting stations throughout the Mill’s studios and galleries. Indulge senses with food and art from some of the region’s most vibrant and creative artists and chefs.
The Brookfield main stage hosted by Ali Hassan of CBC’s Laugh Out Loud, will be home to hourly chef demos, and so much more. Watch as artists interpret a “black box” of local ingredients in their own unique style during Recipe of an Artist, a fast-paced paint-off daily at 1 p.m. Don’t miss the cook-off, where two chefs face off to create an original dish using the same ingredients. Who will win the coveted This Chef is Hot award?
New this year will be live music at the Market Stage including, The Moody Hues: Gary Taylor, Bob “Omar” Tunnoch and friends.
Take part in collaborative food-art activities, try a workshop, visit with the artists in their studios and relax in the scenic setting of the Alton Mill Arts Centre.
Tickets are $35 at the door or $25 advance. They are available online at http://altonmill.ca, and at Scotiabank Orangeville.
