Country Top Roofing has been helping homeowners have their dream home for many years.
The exterior company predominantly does residential, asphalt and metal roofing. They also have their own eavestrough machine and are able to do siding work.
“We are an exterior company that does mostly residential roofing,” said Jordon Robinson, owner of Country Top Roofing. “We do a lot of asphalt roofing, metal roofing and heater. We have our own eavestrough machine and we do a lot of vinyl siding.”
The family-run company is based in Dundalk. Robinson has a five-man crew working with two family members.
“I have four employees and myself, making it a five-man crew, where I’m onsite,” said Robinson. “I do a lot of the installation myself.”
Country Top Roofing has a five-star rating. They are WSIB-insured, with a $2 million liability, plus Business and General liability, as well as a Fall Arrest, Working at Heights and WHIMIS certificate, First Aid Training, a Master Shingle Applicator Certificate and a Shingle Quality Specialist Certificate.
“When we do siding, it’s mostly vinyl siding,” said Robinson. “Eavestrough and siding is probably 20 per cent of our business then we do roofing.”
Robinson and his team are able to completely repair wind-damaged roofs that are causing leaks, curling or buckling shingles, missing shingles or emergency repairs and all types of residential roofing, specializing in metal and fibreglass shingle systems. They can also construct cedar or composite roofs.
Robinson and his team are able to provide services to Dufferin County and surrounding areas, from Bolton to Barrie, Collingwood, Shelburne, Orangeville, Grand Valley, Mount Forest and Southgate.
Their high-quality roofers can install skylights, ventilation, make small repairs or install an entire roof. They can provide custom flashing, such as new chimney flashings, insulation and ventilation projects.
Robinson will meet with a client when they request his services and then provide an estimate after a consultation.
He says they’ve purchased a 4,000 sq. ft. building that they’re going to turn into a showroom. Interested clients would be able to take a look at their product.
“In the next month or so we’re going to be able to have people come out and figure what they want, see it hands-on and touch the product,” said Robinson.
The showroom will be located in downtown Dundalk. There will be a lot of roofing supplies at the venue.
“We’re going to showcase the Owens Corning brand, Vicwest Metal and Buchner Aluminum,” said Robinson. “We’re going to have every different colour choice and a couple of displays so they can actually see the product in a full system and how it works.”
The company has plans to work with Owens Corning to become of their preferred contractors in the area. They will be able to give their clients an extended warranty and all the benefits of a manufactured specified contractor.
“Our supplier has seen how many projects we do per week in our area with our Owens Corning product, as well as he did a lot of research on us, before recommending us personally to the Owens Corning manufacturer,” said Robinson. “He did his due diligence in seeing how we’re five stars across the board company and how we will be a good fit for the specific-manufacturer contractor.”
Robinson started his career working at a local Orangeville roofing company many years ago as a co-op student in high school.
“They hired me on after the co-op,” he said. “A couple of years into it, I decided that I’d rather be the owner than work into my retirement.”
