The Rotary Club of Palgrave hosted their annual tree-lighting in the park recently night and a lot of the people in the community were out for the festivities, which included music, a visit from Santa Claus and the actual lighting of the tree. Members of the Palgrave Public School Primary Choir were performing songs of the season, under the direction of Donalda Richardson.

Everyone gathered around the tree at the appointed hour to see the lights come on.
There were crafts to be made at Saturday’s festivities. Volunteer Sophie Potter was assisting Gracie Stoppenbrink, 6, of Palgrave make reindeer food, while her mother Sheryl watched.
Santa Claus made a grand entrance to the festivities, and lots of young folks were anxious to meet him, including Sierra Dehart, 5, of Palgrave, and her brother Jacob, 4, and sister Emma, 2.
