Caledon OPP are crediting a concerned citizen with informing them of a possible impaired driver.
The result was a 48-year-old Bolton woman was arrested Jan. 6 and charged with impaired driving, driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in her system and resisting a peace officer.
Police report they received the tip at about 10:45 p.m. regarding a suspected impaired driver in King Township who was headed to Bolton.
Officers located the vehicle at an address in Bolton and spoke to the lone female occupant behind the wheel of a grey 2011 Mercedes. While speaking to her, an officer determined that her ability to drive was impaired by alcohol and proceeded to arrest her accordingly. The woman, however, resisted the arrest.
Police remind the public to call 9-1-1 if they suspect that someone is driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs. In doing so, they could be saving lives.
