Don’t miss the excitement of Children’s Day at Inglewood Farmers’ Market this coming Wednesday (July 10).
There will be special activities from 3:30 to 7 p.m., including a scavenger hunt, water balloon toss, hula-hoop contest, face-painting, crafts, mini-burgers on the grill, free ice cream and more. And there be fresh local food to purchase.
Inglewood Farmers’ Market is now at the Inglewood Park and arena. Still on grass, by the river and now with an on-site playground, the market square offers lots of room to play, picnic tables to eat on and great food to enjoy or take away. The market offers strawberries, greens and early local vegetables, lamb, meat pies, perogies, cupcakes, breads, preserves, cheese, curries, garlic, cured meats, sweets, edible plants (heritage, herbs and other varieties), ornamental and native species plants and more. Also, look for natural local made skin care products. For eating at the market or for take away, look for lamb burgers, hot pies, samosas and perogies.
