Caledon OPP charged a 26-year-old man from Brampton March 29 after an officer spotted a motorcycle travelling 100 km-h in a 60 zone.
Police report the incident took place shortly before 3 p.m. in the area of Airport Road and Mayfield Road. The rider was seen doing a wheelie as he passed through an intersection. The officer went after the bike to get it to stop, and the rider repeated the stunt before having to stop for traffic at another intersection.
The driver was charged with racing a motor vehicle, failing to stop for police and driving without insurance. The motorcycle was impounded for seven days.
