Caledon residents and visitors to the community are invited to enjoy the Town’s restaurants during a special event this winter.
For the first time, the Caledon Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Town-wide culinary event.
Dubbed “CaleDine”, the event will see local restaurant owners offer special prix-fixe menus from January 31 to February 13.
The Chamber said this highly-anticipated event celebrates Caledon’s vibrant dining scene and puts the spotlight on the creativity and flavours of Caledon’s restaurants.
There are already 12 restaurants signed up for the event, such as Two Brothers, the new restaurant at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, Blue Smoke in Bolton, and Spirit Tree Estate Cidery.
There’s still time for restaurant owners to sign up for the event. Caledon Chamber of Commerce members can register for free, and non-members can sign up for $99 plus tax.
The Chamber is launching a marketing campaign for the event to promote participating restaurants and generate buzz for the event. The time period between the holidays and Valentine’s Day can be a slow period for restaurants, so the Chamber said it’s the perfect time to show support to local restaurateurs.
Participating restaurants are table-service restaurants and will be offering lunch menus ($25-50 per person) and/or dinner menus ($35-90 per person).
Interested restaurant owners can visit the Chamber’s website, caledonchamberofcommerce.ca, to learn more about the event and register for it.
The Caledon Chamber of Commerce plans to make CaleDine a biannual tradition, with winter and summer editions of the event taking place each year.
