Caledon Chamber Concerts opens its 2014-2015 season Oct. 25 with a concert by the Western Collective.
This ensemble comprises Sharon Wei on viola, Jana Starling on clarinet and John Hess on piano. All three have performed individually throughout North America and are currently on the music faculty at Western University in London. The program will consist of works by various composers, including Robert Schumann, Arnold Bax and Arthur Bliss.
The concert will be at St. James’ Anglican Church, Caledon East at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students 16 years and younger and may be purchased in advance at Forster’s Book Garden, Howard the Butcher and BookLore. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the concert.

The rest of the season’s schedule includes Handel’s Messiah Nov. 23; the Madawaska String Quartet Feb. 28; Imre Pátkai (piano) Mar. 21; and Beyond the Chamber String Trio Apr. 18.
