Celebrate winter at Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives

Explore, connect and create with Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA)’s new and exciting hands-on workshops, exhibitions and fun family programming happening this winter.
Upcoming Winter Workshops
Local artists and writers will be on hand to lead a number of registered programs to inspire creativity and imagination. Classes start at $35 for non-members and $29.75 for members. Visit pama.peelregion.ca to register.
The Writer’s Workshop with Ricky Lima will be Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
The Exploring PAMA’s Collection Adult Art Workshop will be Mondays from Jan. 26 to March 2 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Experimental Drawing with Linda Martinello will be Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
New Art Gallery Exhibition
Exchange: PAMA Artists Select opens in the Art Gallery Feb. 1. The Opening Reception will be from 2 to 4 p.m.
Invited artists have explored PAMA’s art collection, selecting a painting, drawing, print or sculpture for display in the exhibition. Sharing the reason behind their choices, each mini-installation will also include one of the artist’s own works. Stop by and meet well-known local artists Ted Fullerton, Jim Reid, Peggy Taylor Reid, Michael Adamson, Harold Klunder and Linda Martinello.
Free Family Day at PAMA
Depart on a Family Day adventure Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pick up your PAMA passport adventure kit and begin your journey while exploring, creating and connecting with PAMA. Take part in museum activities, art workshops and exhibitions.
Weekly Warmers
Knit@PAMA runs Thursday’s from 6 to 8 p.m. Join the free knitting group and give the gift of warmth to Peel residents in need. All donations go to Regeneration Outreach Community. Beginners are welcome.
Drop-in family activities take place Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Each week, families can make and take home different creative projects inspired by PAMA’s exhibitions.
Guided tours are offered Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. and every hour on weekends. Discover art, heritage, culture and community by taking part in a guided tour of the Museum, Art Gallery and Archives.
PAMA is across the street from Gage Park in Brampton. Create a special winter outing and drop into PAMA to warm up after a cold day of skating at the park.
PAMA is a place to explore and learn about Peel Region’s culture and heritage, as well as use conversation, questions and stories to help make new and fascinating connections to the surrounding community.
