The Dorado Stars’ very own Tess Routliffe is going to be competing for Canada in the upcoming Parapan Am Games.
Swimming Canada and the Canadian Paralympic Committee officially nominated 40 of the nation’s best para-swimmers to the team in March. The announcement, done poolside at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (TPASC) where the Para-Swimming competition will take place during the Games, saw 24 men and 16 women selected to represent Canada. Of these athletes, nine are from Ontario.
Routliffe represented Canada in the 2014 Para-Pan Pacific Championship Games in Pasadena, and she accomplished six personal best time swims, qualifying for finals in all of her events, winning silver in the 100-metre breast stroke.
