Caledon Meals on Wheels (CMOW) staff and board members celebrated the delivery of a new vehicle from Bolton Nissan.
The vehicle is a key part of the organizational support offered through the new Community Engagement Sponsorship from Performance Auto Group.
Performance Auto Group provided the organization with a brand new 2015 Nissan Rogue, completely personalized with CMOW’s logo. These new “wheels” will be used to help promote CMOW’s programs and services, and to deliver meals in Caledon and Orangeville.
Because of the generosity of Performance Auto Group, CMOW will be able to utilize this new vehicle to support its mission to support seniors and people living with illness or disability to live healthy and independent lives with dignity.
“We are delighted at this wonderful opportunity that Performance Auto Group has given us,” CMOW Executive Director Christine Sevigny said. “Their generosity and their commitment to supporting the local community is inspiring. We are honoured they have chosen to partner with us.”
Performance Auto Group is not stopping at handing over the keys to the brand new vehicle — they are also committed to providing CMOW with meeting space at their four local dealerships, support with printed materials, and other organizational support.
“My father instilled in me the importance to share with those who are most in need, and it stands as one of our core values in our organization,” commented Glen Alizadeh, president of Performance Auto Group. “It is an absolute pleasure to provide organizational support to Caledon Meals on Wheels, an organization which has been creative, effective, and provides crucial services to our families and our elders.”
The official handover of the keys was at the Innis Lake Dance, CMOW’s signature fundraiser, Sept. 11.
